My journey

My name is Annie Klingsdal and I have chosen to dedicate my work life to supporting and guiding others in personal development and well-being, from a holistic view. I am living my absolute dream and I am in a fantastic place in life right now, but it has not always been this way. The road that led up to where I am today has been long and challenging and lined with more valleys than peaks. In my first twenty-five years in life, I was often ill and I experienced both panic attacks and other stress problems. I spent years climbing a career ladder that I somewhere deep inside always knew was not for me. I remember feeling completely lost and realizing that I had left my true self somewhere along the way.

How breathwork helped me

I turned to different methods to find my way back and was introduced to a form of breathwork that was completely new to me. It was not long before things started to happen within me and I saw what steps I needed to take to get on the right path. Breathwork quickly became a big part of my life and is still one of the most important foundations for my well-being. I have now been exploring various breathwork techniques for over ten years and today I work as a professional breath guide at Hale center in Stockholm. I am also a certified Psychosynthesis Therapist specializing in stress-related issues, which I’m practicing from my own therapy clinic.

What breathwork means to me

Becoming more aware of the power of my breath has helped me in many different ways and I use this knowledge both in private and in my profession. Not only has the awareness of how I breathe in different situations taught me more about myself and my body, but it has also contributed to the understanding that it is up to me to constantly choose to be present in life. A revelation that I look upon as a priceless gift. I know nothing that can make me return to the present moment as quickly as conscious breathing. Nor is there anything else that can just as effectively make my heart rate go down or my anxiety subsides. Never before have I slept as well as now or received the same recovery. No other method can create such safety and deep contact with my own body, or with my surroundings as the breath.

I have been following several of my clients for a long time now, and the development I see in them speaks for itself. In my opinion and experience, no one does not benefit from breathing well and consciously. The right form of breathing training can improve the quality of life for all of us. Our needs and conditions can look different from person to person and depend on our life situations, but if we only dare to curiously explore the breath and its potential, there is a lot to gain.

See you in class

In these classes, I invite everyone to openly and humbly explore the first steps into the massive universe of breathing. Hopefully, these easy-to-use breathing techniques contribute to increased self-awareness and function as an everyday tool. I also wish they can be used as a way to be more present in the only time we have - the now.
