4 simple things you can do to stay healthy when life gets busy

We know how busy life can get and how challenging it can be when you have too many tasks, and don’t see the end of it. When we reach that place we sometimes end up sacrificing our health by working too much, eating poorly, workout less and sleeping less.

But there is a choice. What path do we want to take when life gets overwhelming? It seems logical that sacrificing our health is not what we should do first, we should instead take care of ourselves to manage through. But unfortunately, way too often it’s not the case.

One of my goals with Withsara was to encourage women to get their workouts done anytime and anywhere, despite how busy life gets. To keep themselves healthy and finding the joy and energy in working out.

The simplest things can make all the difference. Here are a few points that are good to keep in mind during busy times:

  • Try to prioritize your health
When life gets busy, and you have to prioritize how you spend your hours, be very careful with what you are sacrificing, and always try to prioritize your health. Doing so often gives you the energy to tackle the rest of it.

  • Water, sleep, food
Get enough sleep, drink enough water, and make sure you are eating healthy at least 80% of the time.

  • Shorter workouts
Do shorter workouts, so pick Mini-series or Strength and Mobility instead of the Home workout when time is limited. Or decide on doing a part of the Home workout. Just move and take care of yourself.

  • Be kind to you
You are doing your best. Don’t be too hard on you. Give yourself space to breathe, laugh, and think.

Hi! I'm Sara, the founder of Withsara. I have been a fitness group instructor, Barre teacher and Yoga teacher for over 10 years. I am also a certified Nutritional Health Coach from IIN in New York, USA.

After giving birth to my two beautiful daughters, I have had to build up my body twice after my pregnancies. With my experience, I have created a workout that is a great combination of low impact, functional movement, pilates, barre, and yoga. It builds up deep core strength, creates sustainable and lasting change, relieves physical tension and mental stress, and gives you an overall healthier and happier body.
