Ready to switch up your breakfast? One of our favorite breakfasts is chia pudding. If you haven’t tried this healthy breakfast recipe before, you should give it a try now.

Chia is a seed that comes from the desert plant Salvia hispanica, a member of the mint family that grows abundantly in southern Mexico. Throughout Aztec history, chia seeds were the main component of their diets. The Aztecs also used chia medicinally to relieve joint pain and sore skin. The seeds are packed with nutrition, they are a good source of Omega 3 Fatty Acids, antioxidants, fiber, magnesium, and potassium!

This delicious pudding will stay good in the fridge for 4-5 days. Make a batch on Sunday to have in the fridge for a quick breakfast or a healthy snack.

Try this pudding in the morning to kickstart the day in the healthiest way:

Ingredients

  • 2 dl chia seeds

  • 2 dl organic oats

  • ½ dl flax seeds

  • ½ dl coconut flakes

  • ½ Teaspoon of sea salt

  • 1 Teaspoon of cinnamon

  • 8 dl Sugar-free and organic almond or oat milk

Method

Stir together and soak overnight in the fridge. Take 3 spoonfuls into a jar for eating on the go, or savor in a bowl at home.  You can top it with organic peanut butter, raisins, fruits or coconut flakes or whatever you have in the house. Don't forget to close the lid tight so you can keep the pudding for 4-5 days!
